Standards

Membership Standards were implemented in January 2004 intended to strengthen the United Way system. These standards created specific requirements for maintaining memberships that increase accountability for local United Ways. Benefits of the standards include improved consistency, transparency in operations and positioning as a leader in philanthropy.
