2009 Day of Caring

September 10th, 2009

Day of Caring is an organized day of service during which volunteers from the Board of Directors of Kishwaukee United Way, and staff from Kishwaukee United Way partner agencies visit, assist, and complete projects at one of our community's non-profit agencies. Each agency submits requests for volunteer help on a broad variety of projects ranging from reading to children, delivering meals to the elderly, repairing and painting houses, planting gardens, and refurbishing agency offices.

Day of Caring formally kicks off our community campaign efforts, providing an opportunity to help others through hands-on experience and see where United Way donations go and how agency programs are affecting people's lives. With numerous projects requiring a good number of volunteers, we need you and your organization's participation to make this year successful!

For more information, contact Dawn Littlefield at Kishwaukee United Way by phone (815) 756-7522 or e-mail at dawn@kishwaukeeunitedway.com.
