Affiliations & Endowments

United Way of Illinois

Kishwaukee United Way belongs to the United Way of Illinois, a state organization providing technical assistance to members, advocating for public policy issues effecting partner groups, and coordinating initiatives, such as a statewide marketing collaborative, to enable us to be better stewards of our local resources.

United Way of America

The United Way of America, the organization with which we are affiliated on a national level owns the United Way trademark. They provide us with a myriad of resources, among them; assistance with policy issues and agency relations, research tools, conferencing capabilities, field services, professional development opportunities, and other information. They have a stringent set of national standards we are pleased to comply with as a local United Way.

DeKalb County Community Foundation

We are proud to have a strong working relationship with The DeKalb County Community Foundation, and to have an endowment fund governed by DCCF. Income from this fund, established in 1994, is used by the Kishwaukee United Way Board of Directors to support the United Way organization and offer a vehicle for annual donors to make endowment gifts.
