About Us

Kishwaukee United Way is a local organization committed to making an impact through community building, fundraising, and local advocacy. Money raised through local fundraising efforts is distributed by volunteer allocation panels after assessing program and service needs in DeKalb, Sycamore, Cortland, Clare, Malta, Creston, Maple Park, Malta, Shabbona and Somonauk. We are proud to report low overhead costs, offset by a community endowment and special event activities.

Mission

Kishwaukee United Way's mission is to improve lives by sharing community resources.

Vision Statement

Through collaboration, resource mobilization and voluntary giving, Kishwaukee United Way will work to provide a better quality of life for the communities we serve.

Volunteers are representative of our service area, have a demonstrated interest in United Way's service goals and are willing to contribute to the community in a meaningful way.
